Balkan Union of Metallurgists (BUM) is founded after the First Balkan Conference on Metallurgy in December 1996  in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

  • The founder of BUM are the associations and unions of metallurgists from:

-        Ankara

-        Athens

-        Belgrade

-        Bucharest

-        Skopje

-        Sofia

-        Tirana

  • BUM is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with ideal public objectives

  •  the official Residence of BUM, its legal registration and its Permanent Secretariat is in Sofia, Bulgaria.

  • BUM has the objective to support the development of the economical, business and scientific - technical communications among firms, universities, institutes and organization from the Balkan region and outside of the region

  • Members of BUM can be firms, universities and organization.

  • the financing of BUM is done by membership fees, sponsoring, donations and other sources.

 

BALKAN UNION OF METALLURGISTS

  • ORGANIZES:

Conferences, symposiums, seminars, business meetings in the field of ferrous and non ferrous metallurgy

  • HELPS IN:

scientific- technical exchange of experience and information and contacts between scientists, bilateral and multilateral business contacts between firms and enterprises in the field of metallurgy in the Balkan region.

  • ADVERTISES:

scientific, project, technological and business achievements of Universities, institutes, enterprises and firms.
