 The fundamental objective scope of MUM are:

Øto enforce and promote metallurgical production in Macedonia

Øto promote the knowledge and to broaden the knowledge of  employees in Metallurgy and close to metallurgy branches

Øto enforce and to promote the creativity initiatives of specialists and other employees in Metallurgical firms to develop the production possibilities and the technology in Metallurgy in Macedonia

Øto collaborate on tasks and problems from common interest with the governments body and other specialists organization, the metallurgical firms, the Economic branches and educations and research organization.

Øto build the committee of specialists from different field of metallurgy

Øto follow and to suggest the national and international standards in the field of metallurgy and metallurgy close industry

Øto organize and realize the editing of literature and Journals and Bulletin from the field of metallurgy, materials science and metallurgy similar areas.

Øto organize the conference, symposiums, seminars, business meetings, exhibits in the field of Extractive-, Forming and Physical Metallurgy, Foundry, Welding Metallurgy, Heat treatments, materials science, Refractory and close to metallurgy branches

Øto represent the metallurgical profession, science in international organization and association in the field of metallurgy

Øto promote other activity with causality on metal science, practice and developments stat police.
